Stop Dog Chasing
Stopping your dog from chasing
It can be annoying of course to constantly see your pet dog chasing things in the backyard and generally being annoying in this regard and there are several reasons as to why your dog does this. They can come fro being bored, getting excited too easily or really needing to get some serious exercise in the backyard. Here are some steps for a perfect pet care which may prevent your dog from chasing in the future.
- If you have hired a dog sitter, ensure that the sitter takes your dog for plenty of dog walking sessions and give them plenty of exercise! You wouldn't like it if you were kept inside all day without getting the chance to go for a walk every now and then would you? Your dog will feel exactly the same if it's in the backyard every single day without any form of dog walking or other exercise. A regular dog walker would ideally take it for a walk daily, it only has to be around the block to really satisfy it.
- Go through your backyard and look for items that may scare your dog and cause it to act out. These may be giant plants or other items that you have put in your backyard recently that could be causing your dog to act out. This will especially work out if you have only noticed recently your dog acting out and chasing around since you have gotten something new. Always watch your dog to see its reactions.
- If your dog is chasing things such as rabbits or cats, then maybe prevent that problem by not allowing them near your other animals that it wants to chase. This is pretty simple in retrospect but may be difficult to enforce if you have no other choice but to keep both of them in the same area. For better working with dogs who are chasing your other pets, try to potentially come up with other options such as better fencing between your dog and the other animals or keeping your dog inside when you are home. Its a few suggestions that may sound simple but you would be surprised at how well they can work if they are successful.
Working with dogs is not easy as you do not know why your pet is acting in a particular way. However, energetic dog sitters or dog walkers offer a perfect friend and groomer to train your dog to be a perfect pet. You can post dog walking jobs at various online sites that publish jobs in Australia. Some dog walking jobs get applications from professional pet sitters who know just how to provide an active animal care to your pet and efficiently work with animals who are equally energetic.
